In “KERAS – Culture & Development”, we have designed and developed a number of innovations, relevant to the Company’s scopes. These innovations, compatible with the principles of monitoring and management, are suitable for use as “development tools”. They also contribute to the wider networking of Cultural & Creative Industries and promote the local cultural asset, plus enforce cultural sustainability.
Synergy of projects, within a National Strategic Development Plan, is essential towards the establishment of single, functional and oriented networks and is also a fundamental condition in the process of Program Design and implementation of a nationwide cultural policy.
Establishment of local cultural networks is an innovative program, introduced by “KERAS – Culture & Development”. These networks aim at preserving and developing local identity, plus reinforcing social cohesion. “Cultural Networks” are part of “Intercultural Governance”, which is a governing policy pattern based on participation and collectiveness. Intercultural Governance aims at further developing individual skills, adopting good practices and defining areas and ways of cooperation.
Intercultural Governance teaches communities how to develop the local cultural asset, contributing to the local integration together with social cohesion.
We have noticed the lack in design, management and implementation of cohesive cultural projects. In addition, we strongly believe that a Cultural Identity is of high priority and importance.
So, “KERAS – Culture & Development” proposed the establishment of an Organization under the title “Cultural Administration”, in order to promote cultural heritage and networking of the Cultural and Creative Industries, through Local Authorities. Futher, this proposed Organization, can contribute to the redesign and promotion of National Cultural Identity, respecting the principles set by the State. We have already prepared the Feasibility Study and Business Plan of this Organization., ready to use.
